In this six-week course, we will learn the Yiddish alphabet, a bit of grammar, and a lot of vocabulary. Our new skills will allow us to create and use sentences and read basic Yiddish stories. We will be amazed by the richness of the Yiddish culture through songs, poetry, curses and folk tales (yes – in English translation). There will be ample opportunity for those in the class to share their stories with others.
