The focus of this class will be primarily Yiddish conversation and dialogue. This means that some knowledge of the language is necessary. We will view excerpts from Yiddish films, listen to poetry and songs and practice reading jokes, curses and enjoyable stories. Yiddish culture – old and new – will be presented in English. Mainly, we will have fun using our mame-loshn.
