B’nai Torah Congregation in Boca Raton is hosting its 8th annual “Reverse Tashlich” on Sunday, September 28. The congregation will join 220 communities in 12 countries around the world participating in this community clean-up initiative, dubbed “Repair the Sea.” The event is open to the public and will involve picking and cleaning up trash from Spanish River Beach in Boca Raton. While the ancient Jewish tradition of Tashlich involves casting one’s sins in water, Reverse Tashlich prioritizes tackling the modern, global issue of pollution.
